My bags are packed, I'm ready to go...

Actually, my 40-foot fifth wheel is packed, but lets not get nit-picky. Thank god I don't have to fit everything in a suitcase. Took care of all the last minute tasks: picked up special fancy-pants dog food that Don insists Bernie needs, bought postcard stamps so we could send cards to Great-Grandma (if anyone else wants a card from someplace special, let us know!) returned ALL library books (this will be the first time that I have nothing checked out from the library since 1999 when I started working there,) downloaded ebooks to the Kindle (plus a new Shark Attack game for Gavin,) baked a bunch of chicken to freeze for various salads and sandwiches for travel days, gave the kids haircuts, actually ironed some clothes because I know that the grizzlies in Yellowstone will be offended if we show up too wrinkled, RSVP'd to the various celebrations and events that we will unfortunately be missing while we're gone, packed Gabriella's nail polish (can't leave home without it,) and washed the last load of laundry before we take off. Despite all my preparations, I know without a doubt that by the end of the weekend, I'll be saying, "Oh (insert expletive,) I can't believe that I forgot ______!" Because that's how life works :-)
All day long the kids kept saying, "I can't believe we're actually leaving tomorrow!"  I can't believe it myself, but it must be true. I just packed the Keurig, and I wouldn't do that unless we were definitely ready to go. It's time to hit the road - we'll honk the horn when we pull out in the morning!
